Our timetable is provisional at this point in time. We have structured it to meet our existing coaching routine, so we don’t expect it to change before we open.

Our Classes

These classes are aimed at shorter attention spans.

We run these classes with this in mind. The idea is not to talk too much, to give the kids some goal oriented wrestling games and let them experiment. In this age group we focus on learning the main pins, escaping the main pins, base and balance. The goal is to develop comfort and good habits that will keep kids safe, as well as build confidence.

We do this with positive reinforcement, small bites of theory, and lots of fun.

Here we start to extend the game.

Kids at this age are very good at absorbing information. We start to offer more theory and concepts. They still need to move their body, and we try to make sure they are active for as much of the class as possible. We aim to let these kids expand from just good self defence habits into learning all areas of grappling. We think this is the best way to understand grappling. At this age we are aiming to build resilience, understanding and comfort.

We do this through positive reinforcement, goal oriented grappling games and plenty of time to experiment.

Adults are really just big kids.

So we try not to do things too differently for them. Practice is supposed to be enjoyable. Maybe not every second of it, but the net result should be fun on some level. We want to give lots of opportunity to roll and test techniques, encourage students to experiment with ideas and troubleshoot. We need concepts and goals in our grappling, but from that point there is a lot of freedom in how we develop our own game. The aim is to spend time understanding all areas, from fundamentals to instagram highlights.

We’ll try to limit the amount of information that we present, and offer lots of time to work practice to develop your own understanding. Goal oriented rolling as well as open rounds, and some stuff to just try to make it fun.
